I'm in such a good mood right now, I just thought I would share :)
This morning I went to the AAA office in Walnut Creek and had an interview with Bob in their public relations department. (I called him "Mr. Brown" and he laughed at me for being so formal...) It went so well! I think I have an internship for this summer! He said he was going to talk to HR about payment... but even if I can't get paid, the experience will be fantastic. They have so many awesome programs! He said he'd send me an e-mail with all the cool events they have in the works for the next few months... I'll post them here because I think they are fantastic.
Today Kelley and I are taking Liana out to lunch on her lunch break from high school (well, okay, we are picking her up and paying with my dad's money, but still). It will be fun. Our favorite lunch place, where we go whenever we have sister lunches like this, is a sandwich shop called Domenico's. Delicious!
Also, as par my daily routine, I came on blogger just now so that I can be updated on all the wonderful blogs I read every single day. There is one that Nikol follows and, naturally, because Nikol has such fabulous taste in blogs and style, I follow it too. It is written by a magazine writer in New York. Her blog is so fun to read and she always has adorable giveaways and such (stuff that I always enter to win, but probably won't). Anyway, today's post was from an adorable little UK shop named Papermash. I have a feeling I will be looking on their website and spending a pretty penny on some of this stuff... (and yes, I did just use the term "pretty penny")
Oh.. and these pictures are AMAZING!! I'm obsessed!!
Anyway, that's all for now. Tonight I am hanging out with Biggie in the city. I'm pretty excited :)
P.S. I totally went link happy on this post. Oh well, it's just one of those days.
HAPPY SPRING BREAK TO EVERYBODY!!

S.B. = Spring Break, Sun Burn, Stress Break
Wow, I haven't written in SO long! It's not that I haven't wanted to, it's just that I guess I haven't really been motivated or something. I even have the time! I spend so much time watching online TV and stuff, you'd think I'd do something at least semi-productive with my time. No such luck.
Anyway, we just had finals and even though I should have been stressed, I wasn't. I always tell myself that I'm going to do all the reading for each quarter and stuff, but I never do. I guess I just kinda feel like I don't apply myself in my major and I could be doing something so much more challenging and important to me... I will just have to go to grad school or something after Poly so that I can get a degree in something that challenges me.
Now it is spring break, and I every spring break I am so happy that I am on the quarter system. It means that I don't have any homework or anything over the break, it's just for relaxing and what not. Liana and I drove up to Eugene on Friday so that we could check out University of Oregon. She's thinking about going there for school. It's either there or Penn State... I'm so proud of her for getting into such great schools, but I'm still kinda baffled at the fact that she's going to COLLEGE!! In any case, Oregon was beautiful.
I love being home for this week, even though I'm missing out on those great spring break trips that so many of my friends are on. Next year, my goal is to have a fantastic spring break, I feel like it is a college student right of passage and I'm missing out if I don't go on a really fun trip to Mexico, or Florida, or Tahoe, wherever.
Today I went to the high school to say hi to my step mom, Ms. J, etc. When I stepped on to that campus, I suddenly felt all those high school student insecurities rush back to me. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the little siblings of my high school acquaintances are in Cindy's classes. It's like, the mini version of all my friends, in the same classes, four years later. Weird. Stupid insecurities and anxieties and feelings of worthlessness that all come back after spending five minutes on that campus. Thank goodness I don't ever have to be in high school again.
As for now, I am going to enjoy the beautiful weather that has decided to show up for this wonderful week. I already have a sunburn from spending time in the sun. Tomorrow I have an interview for an internship this summer. Then I'm going to visit Biggie in the city, and Thursday I'm going to hang out with Katelin at UOP.
Even though I'm not in Florida with so many of my best friends, this spring break is exactly what I've needed. Hopefully I can stop stressing and I can just relax.. knowing me, though, I will keep stressing even though there is NOTHING to stress about.

sí se puede
Today was a historic day in the House of Representatives out there in DC.
I know I haven't written in a while so I will write more later, I just felt like this was a momentous occasion that deserved some sort of mention.
I'm proud of our country. I'm proud of everything we've accomplished in the past few years. I hope that things keep getting better and that we can eventually live up to the American Dream.
Read the article from ABC News.
And just to be clear... I'm not quite sure what the health care bill is going to mean in the future, but I don't think anybody can say it's a good move or a bad move until we see what it changes. I just think that our country needs improvements, and the only way to make improvements is to try new things, to change things around. It's just like anything - if you don't try something new, you won't ever get anywhere.

a night at the oscars
Tonight was the 82nd annual Academy Awards. Christine and I started at 3:00 and watched the red carpet show on ABC and the TV Guide channel. I was more or less impressed with all of the dresses that the women wore this year. There was nobody I felt was terribly dressed, but then again, they don't show all of the dresses on the pre-shows. I know that tomorrow there will be loads of pictures and articles about best and worst dressed, but here are a few of my favorites:
I wish I had an excuse to wear these dresses to some sort of wonderful event.
Elizabeth Banks - The ruffles might be a little much for me, but the color is great with her skin tone.
Kristen Stewart - I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I do like her dress. It's funny how everybody else was in pastels, and she was wearing a dark dress.
Miley Cyrus - once again, not a huge fan of hers, but I do like the dress.
Queen Latifah - This woman is absolutely fantastic, everything about her. Also, she is wearing a dress with only one strap, one of the other trends of this year's Oscar fashion.
Rachel McAdams - Okay, so I am not a huge fan of the colors and stuff, but I like the style a lot.
Sam Worthington and Natalie Mark - I love the style of her dress.
Sandra Bullock - I keep going back and forth about the dress, but I think her hair looks amazing! Also, wasn't her "Best Actress" speech amazing? I had tears in my eyes, it was spoken so beautifully.
What do you think? (P.S. there were a few that I didn't show - Jennifer Lopez,
Okay, so this is my lame attempt at a fashion "best of" blog... I'm not too fashion forward and never look that great myself, but I wish I did. I wish I had the eye to spot good fashion trends and such. Maybe I should go shopping. I just got paid and I have a lot more money in my account than I'm used to... or maybe I should be responsible and save my money for this summer when I might not have a paying job. Hmm... decisions, decisions.
On another note (but still in the same category of good movies) I have barely seen anything. Like, barely even seen the classics. Once (or four times) Anthony tried to make me watch "The Godfather" and I fell asleep (yes, every single time). I either fall asleep in the middle of the movie, or I just never get a chance to watch it in the first place. Every time somebody's like "oh my gosh remember in ____________ when they did ____________" I'm like "umm no, I've never seen it." So, I need to change that. It is time to step up my movie knowledge and ability to comprehend movie culture. I have started a list of movies I need to see. If you can think of one that is worth seeing, let me know. I seriously haven't seen SO MANY of the classics so even if it is one of those movies that you are thinking "well, EVERYBODY has seen this movie" - I most likely haven't.
Anyway, here's my list as of tonight (I know it's short, but it will, without a doubt, get longer)
1. Inglorious Bastards
2. The Blind Side

totes
I was reading one of my favorite blogs of choice: The Rockstar Diaries. I think her personality in her blog is so fantastic! Her dog, Kingsley, is adorable, and I love the name!
Anyway, sometimes she has giveaways on her blog. I wish that I had realized that the bag she posted the other day was a giveaway because I totally would have commented and tried to win it. So, because I didn't realize it was a giveaway, I didn't enter to win and I'm kicking myself (not that I would have won it or anything... but there would still be that chance).
Well, anyway, these bags are super cute. I would love to save up some money and buy one so that I can have a super cute camera bag! They are so stylish and cute, and only $80! Okay, so "only" is definitely a relative term, but if I set aside money from my next two paychecks, I should be able to get one so that I can have a stylish camera bag for all those spring photo shoots that Nikol and I WILL be going on next quarter.
